AUCTION PROCESS
STEP ONE: Get a BIDDER NUMBER
In order to get started bidding, you need a bidder number. Phone lines will open at 5:00 pm to register participants for their bidder numbers. You will be able to register for a bidder number once the auction begins at 6:00 pm. PLEASE BE ADVISED that obtaining a bidder number once the auction begins will slow down your ability to get that first bid on the board. Call (918) 444-2380 to get your number.
STEP TWO: TUNE IN for the AUCTION
Choose your broadcast location:
Tahlequah Cable TV Channel 3
Radio -- KTLQ AM 1350 & 96.3 Billy Country FM
Live streaming over the internet (see bottom of this page)
Call 918-444-2380 to bid
STEP THREE: BID! BID! BID!
Call (918) 444-2380 to place your bids. The Rotarian on the phone will need the following information as quickly and clearly as possible:
BIDDER NUMBER
ITEM NUMBER
BID AMOUNT
We suggest putting the phone number on speed-dial on your phone. Or remember the re-dial function on your phone. We want to bid as often and as generously as possible. Keep in mind the proceeds from the auction will go right back into the community through grants, scholarships, and special projects. This fundraiser is a major part of the funding needed to be effective in serving the community. We hope you will bid with this in mind!
STEP FOUR: WAIT for the WINNING CALL
If you are the highest bidder on an item, you will receive a call from a Rotarian as soon as possible to arrange for your payment and pick up of the item.
STEP FIVE: PAY and PICK UP
We ask that you pay for and pick up your items on Friday, April 19 at the Century 21 office in Tahlequah. We will not have the items available until Friday, April 19. The address is 103 Mimosa Lane, Tahlequah. They are open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. We will hold your items for one week. If you have not picked up and paid for your items by then, we'll call the 2nd highest bidder.
Every Spring, The Tahlequah/Cherokee County Rotary Foundation holds an auction of donated items from businesses in the community. This is our main fundraiser for the year. As the time draws nearer, we'll have more information on how to get involved with this.
